The Series

A grounded crime drama shaped by the realities of today’s streets

Young Gawdz is an original television series created and produced by Finally Focused Films. Set primarily in Syracuse, New York, it explores changing street culture, shifting loyalties, violence, and the consequences that ripple through families and communities.

Although fictional, the series is rooted in lived experience. Its cast includes people familiar with the communities represented on screen, bringing authenticity to stories that are rarely told from within.

Season One

The story begins in Syracuse and is designed to expand across New York State and beyond as future seasons develop.

Project Me Foundation Inc. Partnership

Entertainment as a vehicle for mentorship and opportunity

Young Gawdz is owned and produced by Finally Focused Films. Through an exclusive collaboration, Project Me Foundation Inc. incorporates the series into its signature programming as part of the Project Me Pathways Program.

Finally Focused Films maintains ownership and creative control, while Project Me Foundation Inc. focuses on the educational, mentorship, and workforce-development opportunities connected to production.

Hands-On Workforce Development

Learning what happens in front of and behind the camera

As future seasons are produced, youth and young adults may gain practical exposure to acting, production assistance, camera operations, lighting, audio, photography, writing, editing, production support, marketing, and media.

These experiences are intended to build communication, teamwork, leadership, professionalism, problem-solving, and creative collaboration while introducing participants to careers in the entertainment industry.

More Than Entertainment

Authentic storytelling with a broader community purpose

The partnership uses storytelling to begin difficult conversations about violence and its consequences while helping young people turn creative interests into skills, experience, and positive pathways beyond the streets.
